What is MyHomie?
MyHomie is an AI-powered home maintenance tracking platform. You tell us about your home — its age, systems, appliances, and location — and we generate a personalized year-round maintenance schedule. We send you reminders when tasks are due, track your completions, and give you a Home Health Score so you can see how well-maintained your home is at a glance.
How does the AI create my maintenance schedule?
When you add a home, you provide details like your HVAC system age, water heater type, roof age, appliances, and zip code. Our AI uses this information along with manufacturer recommendations, climate data for your region, and industry best practices to generate a schedule customized to your specific home. For example, if you have a 10-year-old furnace in a cold climate, we'll schedule filter changes more frequently than a newer unit in a mild area.
Is MyHomie free?
Yes — MyHomie is completely free during our beta period. We're currently accepting early users who get full access at no cost. When we launch paid plans, beta users will receive a lifetime 50% discount as a thank-you for being early adopters.
What is a Home Health Score?
Your Home Health Score is a number from 0 to 100 that represents the overall maintenance condition of your home. It's calculated based on how consistently you complete maintenance tasks, whether tasks are done on time, and the condition of each major system (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, exterior). The score updates as you complete tasks and helps you understand at a glance whether your home needs attention.
How do reminders work?
MyHomie sends you push notifications and email reminders when maintenance tasks are coming due. You can customize your notification preferences in app settings — choose push notifications, email, or both. We also send a weekly summary email so you always know what's on deck for the coming week.
Can I add more than one home?
Yes! You can add multiple homes to your MyHomie account. Each home gets its own personalized maintenance schedule, health score, and task history. This is great for homeowners with a vacation property, landlords managing rentals, or anyone helping family members keep up with maintenance.
What is a Home Maintenance Report?
A Home Maintenance Report is a verified document that summarizes your home's maintenance history, system health, and overall confidence score. You can generate reports for your own records or share them with others — for example, potential buyers during a home sale, insurance companies, or a property manager. Reports include a confidence score that reflects how well-documented and consistent your maintenance has been.
Do I need to install an app?
MyHomie is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it works in your browser but can also be installed on your phone's home screen for an app-like experience. No app store download required — just visit the site, tap "Add to Home Screen," and you'll get push notifications, offline access, and a full-screen experience just like a native app.
What types of maintenance does MyHomie cover?
MyHomie covers all major home systems and categories: HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), plumbing, electrical, appliances (water heater, dishwasher, washer/dryer, refrigerator), exterior (roof, gutters, siding, deck), and seasonal tasks (winterization, spring prep). Each task includes a description of what to do, why it matters, and the estimated cost of neglecting it.
How is MyHomie different from a to-do list or calendar reminder?
Unlike a generic to-do app, MyHomie understands your home. It knows that a 15-year-old HVAC system needs different care than a new one, that homes in humid climates need different maintenance than those in dry ones, and that some tasks depend on the season. It also tracks your home's health over time, generates shareable reports, and provides cost-saving context — like reminding you that a $15 filter change can prevent a $3,000 repair.
Is my data secure?
